A TV company just recently contacted our club about a new programme about "gadgets" one of which is supposed to be a golfing gadget - the gist of it being...

Our engineers have developed a new golfing gadget which allows you to get round the course quicker. It would be ideal for an avid golfer who would like to play more, but due to the working days/hours does not have the time to spend 4 hours every day completing the course. So we are looking for someone who is of a good standard who regularly plays, with a great personality. I don’t want to give away too many details at this early stage, all I would say it’s a really exciting project that would enable someone to be the first in the world to test this out.

So what sort of thing do you think this gadget could be?

Gotta be some sort of trolley you can stand on- like the Segway already mentioned- doesn't take into account the umpteen 4 balls or ladies medal, nothing short of a rocket launcher is getting thru them.

We're in London - and experience from elsewhere is that TV people never travel far from London if they don't have to.
