What do you obsess over?

Flowers have bulbs
Fittings have lamps
😉

The obsession runs deep though, poor/low CRI rated fittings having completely inconsist colour rendering despite being 3000k/4000k etc etc.

The worst has to be our house, 3000k everywhere all the same brand that has high CRI …. Except-

2700k light in front garden, Mrs says it looks “ warm and welcoming “

4000k under cab lights in kitchen, Mrs says it “ it’s brighter when preparing food “

Front light is never on as it clashing with hall lights and winds me up, u/cab lights never on as she always cooks with main spots on, really boils my piss.
Sounds perfectly reasonable to me 🥴😁

RAF aircraft electricians always referred to them as filaments. But they were a strange bunch 🤣
In my days ( pull up a sandbag) , we used to be tested on Special Weapons System checks where an examiner would listen in to three of us going through the electrical proving set ups We had to always use the correct terminology or receive a fail. One of the checks on the Buccaneer was the correct sequence of door indicator lamps and when they were lit. Quite a a few failures from me as I tried to say ‘left lamp lit’ and then ‘left lamp unlit’ etc.

Whilst I’m on here, the leckies were often referred to as d******** ( it’s a long story but involved RAF Honington late at night) but also sometimes referred to as Greenies. In the early days of the ‘100 year experiment’ the WW1 aircraft only used green wiring.
