Personally I ALWAYS play in, we're out for fun and unless it's teaming down we can enjoy a few holes with friendly chat and 'practice' the shots that let us down in the match.

We finished on the 17th today, the 18th is a par 3, no brainer, and we wanted to know what our rounds would be.
yesterday we finshed on the 14th, the 17th tee is next to the 14th green so we played 17 & 18 as my opponent wasn't bothered about play all the last 4.
When I have played at an away course I have asked to play all the remaining holes.

Depends on the circumstances but generally play in too, although if I've lost to a prize you know what then the shortest route back to the clubhouse is favourite.
I think it should be a joint decision to walk in, if either wants to play in then you both should.

Always prefer to play in unless weather conditions dictate that getting back to the clubhouse as quickly as possible is the number one priority

It varies on circumstances and on what hole we finish at.

In our team matches the rule is you walk in when you finish.

Ideally I like to play in but, for example, the 14th is near the clubhouse so often if you finish by there you just walk off.

Depends on the weather too!

exactly this, i would only ever walk in if

A) the others wanted to
B) i was injured

we do this for fun, just because the game is over why would we not continue. Ive only ever had one guy walk in when we shook hands on the match on 14th, i did make it clear that i was going to play on,. and did so as it was a nice sunny summers day:thup:

Playing 15-18 while rethinking over a 5&4 win does wonders for your mood.

Depends on......

Who I'm playing against/ with
Weather
How I played
How many holes to go
Do I need a pint
Am I hungry

Again it depends on other stuff , weather & the tone of the match we just played ...
Club matches its shake hands & in we go .. society matches , normaly more relaxed & finish out ,,

Depends on the situation, the weather and the pace of play. Of late, because Ive been injured Ive tended to walk in more than I used to, not usually too fussed either way though

I always want to play in especially on away courses. Of course it depends on the opponent but 9/10 they are equally happy to carry on. If its lashing down though then common sense usually sees a different approach
