What did you do and how did you fare this w'end....

Personal best today. 90 gross 67 nett and 5 under. Absolutely appalling on the green 5 3 putts including one that was an inch short on 18. Tied for the lead and will wait to see how it works out on countback. Either way I am looking at a cut of 2 shots. Hoping to be off 18 or 19 by the end of September and the end of the season. The lesson that i had midweek is really paying dividends already.

Thanks Nick it was the lesson with Kieran on Wednesday that did it. CSS was 72 on the computer but that was broken so we just had to put the cards in the box. It could have been different from what was on screen.

Generally a good weekend
Shot a personal best of 86 off the whites (bounce game)but was embarrassed to turn in 47 points with two blobs!

Played really well 7 pars and 9 bogies (shocker on 2 easy holes )

Just wondering why I can't do this in comps - played to buffer but no movement - pretty sure it's the mental side of things!
 
Great weekend for me - 40 pts with 2 blobs in a friendly on Friday (off the yellows) - all I had to do was repeat it off the whites in Sunday's comp...

...and played even better - 44 pts & my first comp win. Only slight downside is I didn't win the trophy, as that bit of the comp was off max 18 HC & I (was) off 22 - two guys came in with 41pts.

Never mind - money in my account in the pro shop, cash from the sweep and a cut to below 20 for the first time is good enough for me!
 
I had rather a good weekend score wise.

Played a game at Moray Old (where i have jusr become a country member) with 3 mates and had 4 birdies and only two bogies . and took the money.

Played for Nairn in The final of the Moray and Nairn League (super Sunday) and we managed to win the league this year the first time for 16 years. won my match wich got us the point we needed.

Then played with 2 other mates on the new course at Moray as they are both interested in becoming CM too.

Shot a gross 68 off the white, with 5 birdies (sss 69) par 70

shame there was no comps on this weekend i'm hitting quite well.
 
Well my weekend of golf ended today with The Mary Cole Rose Bowl at Ramsey. County inter club comp, teams of 3, medal play and all to count (nett). I was dreading it to be honest and started double, double so my worst fears coming true! The second double was a reload having stuffed it oob off the tee so actually recovered well. Anyhow, they were the last doubles and played tidy from then on to finish 2 over handicap. CSS was 2 over so if I could have holed a putt or two (very slow greens) it could have even been a wee cut (such is this game hey). Lowest score for our team and we came 4th in the county so not so bad.

Didn't quite hate every minute of it but almost - too much pressure for me!

Yep - we all had caddies but both playing partners were great. I had played against one of them in the finals of a foursomes club comp and she had been very kind about my game after the match so continued in that vein really. It did restore some faith in fellow woman-kind although not in my ability to play this "level" of golf and enjoy it (at least just a little bit)!

David was a great caddy apart from when he mixed my clubs and I hit my wedge pin high only to then realise it was my gap wedge. He reckoned he knew I was smashing the ball with the adrenaline and did it on purpose :cool:

Just what my playing partner said - she'd played for donkeys years so a real veteran of such comps! I know I have the ability to be single figures but just not sure I have the ability to be calm and enjoy bigger comps.

Oh - was also 4th best individual score (nett) :-)
 
36 hole Club Championship yesterday and have been playing great for last few weeks. Holed a 1:100+++ chip for a birdie on tough par 4 (actually doubt I'd manage it if I tried 1000) times), chipped well and bunker play was great - and I still found myself in the midst of an omnishambolic disaster :( But that is in the past and I now get back to playing my proper golf - there is always next year.
 
Struggled to finish my medal round on Saturday so the .1 was inevitable, in truth, I shouldn't have played and rested more but, we never do, do we!

Got to find a real quick recovery as playing Beau Desert on Thursday which has been paid for and arranged for ages but to say I'm struggling with my back would be an understatement!

Got quite a few things lined up which are all at risk of being cancelled, never felt so low and frustrated.
 
Ordinary stableford comp , game slowly coming back . 39 points saw a .2 cut to follow a .4 cut on Wednesday so back to 7 (7.3) again.. wasn't the tidiest of rounds felt like i gave away a few easy strokes so hopefully i can get a bit more off the H'cap before the end of the season
