What did you do and how did you fare this w'end....

We're into the finals of the mixed knockout :whoo:

Despite giving away 9 shots we won 4&3 and never behind (5 of those shots in the first 6 holes)...happy days :)

First Medal in over 4 months due to finger problems.

No great shakes shot 86 nett 80, 10 pars 4 golden birdie chances that didn't drop, one treble and a Quadruple.

But pretty happy with that as still cant really grip fully with my right hand.

Bounce game with uncle and dad. 50 out and 45 back, quite happy with that. As per usual couldnt find my rythmn for the first few holes. Which pulled my score up. Was my final card to hand in for handicap, expecting to be given 24, hopefully play a few medals before the end of the season to get it down a bit.

2nd round of club champs today, hit it better than yesterday but scored worse, didnt help taking 7 at 16 having had 100 yards in for my 2nd :( 81-83 not horrific but actually couldve shot much better

wd Amanda, gl in the final (ps your stroke indexes are so heavily stacked early and I expect against the guidelines, in matchplay if you can get through the early holes giving shots unscathed you'd always fancy your chances :) )

Agreed and our plan was to just be a couple behind after the 6th but in fact we were 2 up having won 1 & 2, lost 4, won the 6th. It's tough giving shots in matchplay at Brampton but in the final we'll get a few which is a new experience!

Not been well all weekend so not played. Might try and get out tomorrow but not in the competition. Funny thing is I haven't missed it really. Not been playing great and so actually happy to have a bit of a break. Strange!

Complete opposite to yesterday, today I won my match but sadly the team lost, Prestbury had very good team though, including a 13 year old who plays off 5 and is the Cheshire junior champion,

Played Astbury Hall.....25 points....Fairways and rough excellent, Greens not the best, leave your spike marks every wear....and very inconstant. Tee boxes are like putting your tee into a sponge. Would play there again.

Had a good knock in a board comp this morning. Course playing full length - 39 pts stableford (8 over par) - 16 out 23 back. Nice eagle 3 finish on last. Looks to have got me 6th or 7th (out of 70 entry) and more importantly a probably 0.6 h/cap cut which would take me to 10.0. So still got fair chance of getting to single figs this year (my goal for 2013)

Little charity bowmaker today. We finished 2nd on 9 under, just one short.

Good prizes too - got a FJ rain jacket which will go back in the shop for over a ton of credit for something else - may have to go get the covert 3wood now :)

Played a game with my bro in law, we went out a little after the last club champs group and despite the rain the course looked beautiful. Shot 85(+13) again 4th game in a row. Happy enough but I think I am being conservative. Had my new driver out and hit every fairway(magic dust) so it will be staying!!

A really lovely relaxed game.

Back out for 9 tomorrow.

Well done good shooting, can you do it in a medal.

Not played a competition for a few weeks but might try and squeeze a suplimentry in tomorrow afternoon weather dependant.

Well my 2nd round got off to a disastrous start with a 9 on the 1st! Put it out of my head and battled hard and got some nice par's and birdies to get back to -2 when standing on the 16th tee only to commit the cardinal sin and state that I still had my same ball for both rounds and....yep......it then went straight OOB.

So after 2 holes being rounded down, I will have made buffer.

Considering my back issue I'll take that knowing it could have been better if not for 2 silly holes, monthly medal next Saturday, no golf today and will only practice around Thursday so the back can recover.
