What brands would you not play?

I've got to be honest. And please don't shoot me down in flames or have a go at me here.
But I always find that whenever I play with somebody who is using Titleist clubs I always leave the course with the impression that they are gay, or at least would be, given the chance.
Don't know why. Maybe it's their walk. Maybe it's the way they bend down to pick their ball out of the cup. Maybe it's the way most of them want to kiss you on the cheek when the game is over rather than shake hands.
Leaves me feeling a bit cold and for that reason I would never play Titleist clubs.

Flippin pensioners shouldn't be allowed out.

Who is the prime minister anyway?

Bloody peasant :p

Not keen on a few brands, but would never discount them without trying them...

...except for Nike.

If I was given a bunch of their stuff it would go straight on ebay unused. Scum company and will never get a penny from me, immaterial of how good their stuff may or may not be.

Still don't get why Ping is for old people though...

To be honest I'm not overly fussed who was perceived to have upset whom first, but you are both adults (allegedly). Let it go guys as its detracting from what is actually a pretty interesting thread and is showing some interesting traits.

Homer

You don't have to read the posts.

The other party called me a name, now deleted, and has since failed to bring his formidable intellect (sarcasm alert) to bear to justify that or his original proposition, presumably aimed at me, so I will battle wits with him, whether or not he has any, until a conclusion or he says something sensible, whichever is first.

Outside the forum, I could tell him more plainly what I think of his views.

nothing as been deleted, you started the insults first
like you do in most of your replies to other topics

Nike and Taylor Made

Nike has the ugliest shirts i ever saw and I am not a Tiger fan

Taylor Made because I have never seen a club produced by them that pleased my eye.

That said I choose my clubs by looks rather then by testing because i think the differences are too small for me to notice

That's pretty much what I think but I have a Nike 3-wood (bought it before I got properly into golf) and hit it OK but Nike just doesn't seem like a golf company to me. Clothes fine, clubs and balls - nah!

I have been told that they spent more money on golf R+D than any other sport they produce kit for but I still have a thing against them, totally irrational!

It's actually a shame that they get such a bad rep. They probably spend more on R&D than any other company when it comes to most sports.

Their running shoes, for instance, aren't considered to be as good as a pair of Brooks but they are every bit as good, and the amount and ways they conduct their R&D are second to none.

Their products normally come with a premium, which can put people off (their golf trousers are around £80...erm..no thanks), but their sports equipment is usually worth the price because some much has been invested in the design.

As a disclaimer, I'm not a fanboy, nor do I work for Nike. They just (usually) make very good products.

F*** me, I'm going to be popular!

Current driver Ping G10 (so I'm an old fart),
Previous Drivers TaylorMade (so I'm a chav) and Callaway Big Bertha,
Current irons, Callaway (so I think I'm showing off), previous irons Titleist (so I'm gay as well).

So, I'm an old, gay, chav show off, excellent, GRAHAM get me another gold-plated Stella you KAAAAAAHN'!!

I didn't know any of this, I thought I was just buying my gear because it helped me hit the ball better than anything else I tried, that couple of hours I spent hitting every club the Pro had available in front of the Flight Tracker was a complete waste of time! How wrong I was...

Btw I play titleist irons and I'm not gay, regards
Big gay Daisy.
