What brands would you not play?

I don't like Titleist. Not for any repressed or latent urges but I've never liked them since my junior days. The AP versions I find a bit chunky looking and very heavy to swing and I've never got on with their drivers or woods. I wouldn't dream of trying to hit a Titleist blade.

Its a shame about Dunlop. Back in the 80's their Maxfli Australian blades really were the top dog and I loved my set. Maybe its the rose coloured glasses or senility setting in but I can remember some awesome long iron shots and beautiful approach shots covering the flag. Now they are a joke brand.

In a certain sense McGregor are another that went the same way. A top manufacturer abck in the 80's it seems that they disappeared for a long time although they are advertising again and I've seen a set in AG although I doubt they'll ever be as big as they were

i could never play callaways as i'm left handed and people would rip the piss saying i was a Philly Mick(my fave playa) wannabe.

do fancy an oddyssey no9 but dont think i could cope with the stick i'd get if i missed a 3footer

I wouldnt play any Nike or TM clubs.. Wouldnt play Callaway irons or Ping irons.. Wouldnt even look at any of the perceived lower end brands either , like Dunlop , Letters or Benross etc etc

Then again I dont change my clubs every 5 minutes like a lot of people seem to do when trying to buy a golf game.
