What about which golf balls you wouldn't use. Playing with Top Flight is the equivalent of beating stones around a field. For people trying to improve their game I think if you are practising using a rock you are really hindering your progress

Donay Titainiums... Jesus its like hitting a solid ball of lead, i cant beleive helf and safety havent pulled these from the market, hit one thin on a cold wet day and you wrist still hurt 17 holes later..

Pink/ orange/ yellow or any colour other than white to start with.
Wouldn't play with anything other than a ProV or equivalent.
Would practice with anything if i was just beating balls. If I was working on shaping shots or controlling flight and trajectory then would use old provs or similar

Would never play anything other than titleist ProV1 with the exception of Wilson Staff DX2's as they are cheaper if Im having a stinker.

Clubs - anything that doesn't suit my game or I am not comfortable or confident with when I am being custom fitted for new sticks! 
Balls - anything that isn't as good as - or equivalent to -the Pro V1!

Erm. Probably only Callaway. As others have said, just far too chunky for my eye.
Having frequented this forum for a couple of months now, whenever I change my irons, I will be looking at Mizzy's and Titleist first. They seem to "fit the bill" for me so to speak.

Well they do make decent clubs, not just the blades either.
But tbh, I don't think anyone makes a duff club anymore. It just comes down to personal preference on looks and playability. Blondes and brunettes! Which is why this subject is so subjective so to speak.

As a kid i always said if i got to single figures i buy myself a custom fit set of pings, but this was when ping seemed the be all and end all of clubs (94-97). It seems now alot of the other brands hald stepped up their game, and ping now seem to have more of a cult following from the hip-flask brigade. When i decided my G5 was going, i thought the natural progression would have been to the g10 or G15, i hit both and have to say these were w**k!
I hit the cobra that was present at the time, the burner, the calloaway (maybe FT5) and both G10 and G15, the TM was miles longer and straighter as this was pro assisted selecting the right shafts and heads for me. I just dont get this hole "we hate taylor made, Mizzy is the future"

oddsocks check my bag out. ive only ever had cheap cast clubs. so last season i tried out three sets wilson mizzy and ping. found ping not a nice feel when hit. wilson and mizzy felt the same. as at the time i could afford to pick what i wanted. i went for mizzy as they were for forged(grain flow not copys
). same with driver tried a few but really liked TM. horses for courses etc. we all chose what we want and will rarely change from it. im on my six wife, russian mail order brides are the best!!

see this is where my theory blows itself out the water. when i fancied new irons i narrowed it down to 2 sets:
Burner 09 (wanted them since they come out)
Wilson DI9 (but their wilson, i cant play with wilson)
if im honest i know deep down inside i hit the wilsons better, struck them better and had a nicer feel to them, and if im totally honest i have that inside feeling i would have been better with these, but after reading reviews online about them marking easy and beeing poor quality. The thing i also found is the wilsons looks ugly behing a ball, they inspired no faith at all. yet for some reasons although my conatct wasnt 100% with the burners i preferred the way they sat behind the ball.
