What Ball do you play with

I play Pro V's, but recently played a couple of rounds with AD333's, and loved the feel of the face, and given the price, I think I'll be shifting to AD333's once my Pro V's have all decided to disappear into the abyss.

Dunlop DP1-V2s....£12 or £13 a dozen. They feel great off the driver, soft on my irons, great off the putter and then spin really well with my wedges.

shot a PB with a Topflite on hard summer fairways and greens, ball still stopped.

I dont believe the majority of amateurs will play better or worse with different balls- I do believe though that you will have a preference for feel off the putter face but anything else is all in your head.
Agreed.

I've been going with Titleist Velocity for about a year now. I need to eke out as many yards as i can from my tee shot but don't want a brick either and feel that these give me that at a decent price.

Any old Callaway Lake Ball, Pearl/A mix. I did find a ProV1 a few weeks ago and have used it on and off for a few rounds now, start with another ball, lose it get out the ProV1. It does feel lovely and is still immaculate. Unfortunately I rarely go a round without losing 1-2 balls so I could not warrant buying new. I may move to a new course next year which is more forgiving and if that happens I may go new. I have hit found Bridgestones recently and they also feel very nice and as they are priced better than the Titleists I may go down that route.

Very interesting reading all the types of balls being used , When i started playing in 1997 i use Moitors , man they well hard , then is was Top flites and the Z balata ball , spalding , Titleist distance and onto Maxfli Revolution golf ball and callaway black, srixton soft and AD333 and Now the Pro V 1 , what has happen to some of these balls and will some make a comeback like the Molitor or Penfold Commando Balls , if ever there was a ball for the rough and jungle this was it :D:D , those were the days , get to a water hazard , out came the cheap old ball .............

Haha! The old "Molitors".....I remember those. I never used 'em but my mate Ray Taylor did.
He then moved on to some others called "Nitro's".
Don't know why, but it always made me chuckle when he called a provisional, and said he was hitting a Nitro 3.
:D:D:D

I have, for the time being, become a total convert to Dunlop balls. The NZ9 V3 that I use is pretty much the equal of the AD333 or similar and are less than a tenner a box. Some of the other ranges are easily as good as most mid range balls and work for me as well. Have they got a ball to match the top premium balls, no but then again, I have never used premium balls due to cost and perceived benefit to me and so I would rather pay £10 a dozen for these than twice as much in my pro shop for a similar quality, 'better' branded ball.

I'm using Bridgestone e6 at the moment. For the first time I've switched to a cheaper ball for the winter, but I'm not convinced it was a good idea.

It's great for full shots, but I'm struggling getting used to how much more the ball runs out on little chips and pitches.

In the summer will play whatever premium ball I can get a deal on, but not keen on z-stars.
