Is this making a mockery of people and should be acted upon or is it restricting people from earning a living of their choice?

I think it depends on what the performances were. Were they self mocking, a freak show, or were they a troupe who just happen to have dwarfism? Two very different scenarios.

The first is not good, there's a bigger picture than the immediate people involved, the second is fine.

The devil is in the detail.

As I read the article it seems they were there as a troupe performing magic, dance etc and one member said they had a good time and treated with respect. The ADEE seem to have become offended on the performers behalf and filed a complaint which to me seems totally unjustified.

That sounds very different to the infamous England rugby dwarf throwing incident 🤦. That was poor.

If they're out there, offering a service of their choice, and being treated respectfully, then why are peope offended on their behalf?
The Phoenix Nights scene with Paddy and Max embroiled in a punch up with a bus load of dwarfs was hilarious. As the bus pulled up Paddy said to Max "Are they very small or just far away?"
Clearly the group of actors engaged were happy to have been involved.

This is a quote from
Someone who allegedly performed.
Quote
However, Spanish radio station RAC1, external broadcast an interview with someone claiming to be one of the entertainers present at the party who defended Lamine Yamal.

"No-one disrespected us, we worked in peace," said the artist, who asked to remain anonymous.

"I don't understand why there's so much hype. We're normal people, who do what we want, in an absolutely legal way.

"We work as entertainers. Why can't we do it? Because of our physical condition?

"We know what our limit is and we will never exceed it: we are not fairground monkeys."

The performer said it lasted one hour, and afterwards the entertainers joined in with the party.

"We dance, we distribute drinks, we do magic... there are many types of shows. Everyone had a great time."

So someone is offended but the people Involved are not.
They are trying to earn a crust.

Because they were getting paid? I'm sure strippers feel the same, doesn't make it acceptable in this day and age.

As for being treated respectfully, do you think the millionaire footballer hired them because they were good acrobats and their height was irrelevant, or because he thought his entitled friends would find a group of dwarves amusing?

If people with dwarfism want to hire themselves out for parties, who are we to stop them? Have seen it in the UK on stags before, where you can hire a dwarf in a funny outfit, handcuff them to the groom. They get paid and free drinks for the night. They've put themselves in that situation though so I don't really see a problem.

I'm sure they'd rather more meaningful employment though

The problem is for other people with dwarfism who suffer as a result. It's tough enough for them without getting additional ridicule.

For me the problem is not the people with dwarfism who suffer ridicule. It the people that dish out ridicule. That’s where the problem lies.

It’s a tough one

As long as they are not being ridiculed for suffering from Dwarfism then I can’t see the issue

I wasn’t a fan of the guy who played Tyrion complaining about being typecast when the role that made him was a dwarf
