WHAT AN EAGLE!!!!

just played another practise round at my local course and on the par 5 16th my second shot veered off to the right into thick rough behind a pond with 130 yards left and so i decided to use a 7 iron, hit the shot well and the ball started dead on line with the pin but slowly drew left of it and hit the left slope next to the green and rolled down. now at first i just thought it was a good shot and said to my mate it looked good so after walking up the green the ball was nowhere to be seen so i thought it went over the back and looked for 3-4 minutes and still couldn't find it so i thought i would check the pin and voila!! there's my ball and a eagle it seemed to do really good to my score as well as i finished with a round of 80

Brilliant! I'm ever the optimist though...if I think I've hit a good shot and I can't see my ball when I reach the green, the hole is always the first place I check. It's never in there though!
