I'm off next Thursday and am hoping to get a game in somewhere down this way....I'm desperate to try my new clubs out. The last week has been reasonably OK weather wise and I was hopeful that at last the waterlogged coures might be drying out a little.
Today it is blowing a gale and it's been pissing down really hard all night/morning, so that's last weeks good work undone by one downpour.

Tim - I sympathise but we have been lucky. Until today (pouring buckets) it's been not too bad. Our club's 'never close' policy has borne up and frost is usually off by mid-morning. In fact have had some rounds in gorgeous sunshine alongside frozen lakes. Very nippy but probably better than a lot of the summer! -
fingers crossed for 09.

Had a lesson today so wasn't too fussed about the poor weather. Got my winter knockout match (4 ball better ball) tomorrow at 9.30 and not looking forward to it. The opposition are 16 and 23 handicappers but I think the conditions will make it a bit of a lottery so it might be a bit iffy. Still I'm swinging well and striking it ok so positive mindset.

Off to dig out the waterproof trousers. Do water wings count as artificial aids???

This weekend i was due to play society outing but the course was closed due to sever rain on Friday and overnight.
Thats three weekends in a row i have not played--suffering withdrawl symptoms at this stage.
