so Scotland has been battered, not sure what the weekend is looking like up there.

Last Comp until New Year on Sunday and the forecast is very wet... debating whether to go for it (rain is bloody miserable lets be honest) or chill at home and watch the golf on sky

whats your approach if its gonna be persisting down? Play through it or dont bother?

Hoping to play on Sunday too. Greenkeepers revenge for us, so its a worthy cause, and the last presentation of the year right afterwards.

Fingers crossed the wind comes along and blows the weather out until late afternoon :)

southern softy here, but a tee time is booked at ashdown forest... off hacking i go. with the weather being so unpredictable, i simply dont want to miss course time. after all, it could be snow next week.

Play you pansy, its only rain!! Its our turkey trot on sunday so getting ready to collect the booby prize again, its very embarrassing to be called out last to find the only prize left is an out of date tin of beans that some cheap old duffer has slipped past the organiser. Still it does teach you how to play with the wind (sorry different thread).

Play, it might be your last round of the year, Play it might snow the next day then rain looks like an inviting proposition..

Play, you might get sent out to do the shopping. play, the leaves in the garden need raking up.

Play, your car needs a wash. Play, sky will show the golf again later.

Play, dont be a pansie.

southern softie here

thanks for making me look at the forecast im supposed to be off 9.00 am sunday

i think i might drop out now, i can do windy or rainy, both together not so much,
just dont enjoy it and get my self worked up from playing xxxx

Sounds interesting, I assume pins are not in friendly positions?
Correct. In years gone past they even had obstacles on the greens (a bucket/a chain even a bench on hole). lately its just the worst possible pin position, that you would never see in a medal. Upto the very edge of the green, on the fringe, a side slope tha can't hold a ball etc.

Great fun, and all money collected is straight into the greenkeepers pockets so very worthwhile for me to get soaked :)

Brilliant, I am going to suggest this to our club. Thanks

I have the works Christmas party tonight  and I'm supposed to be off at 8.30am tomorrow.

Come rain or shine I'll be there...... A little bit green, but I'll be there :whoo:

must have changed then Murph as was forecast for all day. Decided to play, my partners have pulled out with other commitments so will hopefully tag along with another group

it is stableford after all :)

Play, play, play.
Got a weekend full of it coming up.
Just off to the works party then playing a knockout match tomorrow at 0830 (Got to give him 11 shots!)
