WGC Cadillic Championship thread

Yeah , tiger is definately back in contention for another big one
Good to see Rory coming good with a cracking final round too

Now thats a better phrase, I don't think there is any doubt he'll be there abouts in the majors but to say he's definately going to win one this year is being disrespectfull to the rest of the players out there.

It will be interesting to see if he can take this form into his next event which I think is at Bay Hill, his driving was suspect on the back 9 yesterday and he won't get away with that at any of the majors.

I think we can safely say Tiger will be the favourite for Bay Hill as he's won this event 7 times!.Some of those approach shots he played last night would see him well at Augusta,he should go well at the Masters.

His skill was never in doubt for me. I even got to watch Him in action on the TV round at my lads last night, despite a brave arguement from my grandson (football daft, hasn't discovered golf yet). " TV with golf or bed?" Won the day. LOL !!!!

Some of the approaches he played were outrageous, probably as good a ball striking day as hes had in a while. He would certainly be favourite for Bay Hill I reckon with its reduced field ;)

Even though Tiger had some wild drives, they were mostly to the right, the left miss didn't hit him at all from what I saw - was that the case throughout as I missed some of the coverage?
I would think he would not be too unhappy with losing a couple right rather than the dreaded big left hook.

It's a shot across the bows for the rest of the tour anyway - Tiger having won twice already and playing like he did Thurs - Sat is ominous. His approach play was outrageously good - how many tap in birdies?! He was good sunday too, but the score doesn't reflect it so much after he gave a couple of shots back to the field on 16 and 18 when it was all but won.

Was very happy to see Rory putting a score together. I thought he played some good iron shots even on Thursday, but drove woefully, and it was great to see him playing more like he is capable of on Sunday. A good confidence builder for him and hopefully shup up some of the naysayers (mostly on another US forum I use, where his demise has been greatly exaggerated).

I'm concerned about Westwood. He has started well and then faded a couple of times this year, I suspect he is going to have a very middle of the road season, missed putts just killing his momentum when he looks like getting it going.

Enjoyable tournanment I thought, with a great leaderboard. First page of the leaderboard reads like a who's who of the tour (Snedeker's absence excepted).

Can't see anyone else being favourite at the majors (at the moment) & I would think he's already been installed as favourite for The Masters (I don't know Rory's schedule). Unless Rory picks up a win or 2 before April Tiger'll go in as favourite!

The big stick during his 14 Major's has never consisted of great driving of the ball. Truth be told, his driving during the past couple years has been better than in his dominant years.

Those approach shots are killer for the Augusta fast greens....Hope Rory doesent play Bay Hill cos I really wont know who to back, Tiger for Bay Hill and hope Rory comes out the following week without Tiger.I really hope these two are right on their game for Augusta as we will see something really special.Bring it on!!

Seeing both of them on top form at Augusta would indeed be something special to behold. Throw lefty into the mix as well and we'll be in golfing heaven
