Wish I could've said the same for mine. I was gutted, the Xperia was my favourite phone I've had. Refuse to go Samsung after I had the horrible plastic S3 for a couple of years and now I'm stuck with a HTC which looks and feels great but with a very average UX. I think I'll be back to Sony's latest in 6 months, but I wont be risking it near water!

Rice is definitely the answer, however avoid the muller variety as it can make the keys a bit sticky

Many thanks for the tips. My phone is still fully functional after 24 hours in the bowl of rice and airing cupboard. my phone is in a plastic covering and black seal around the edges, so I think the exposure to water was minimal. Thanks again.
