Since the change in regulations, he's had to get a new set of irons.
His driver had a crack in the face so a new driver and he had 6 weeks off for Christmas.
Would you be at your best after all that?

He's got a lot to get used to, but he will be back winning really soon

Well said fella

Oops. He's won this year already. The Al Naboodah Invitational
Shot new course record 63 tied with old mucker D.C who also shot 63
Told you he'd be back :)

Surely then, with all those changes, he wouldn't put too much expectation on a great round so, when it goes wrong, he wouldn't feel the need to throw clubs, etc as he'd be able to put it all down to the changes.

Harrington was the same last season with his swing changes - he had issues on the course but he knew he was in a transitional phase so didn't get too stressed.

Maybe there's more to it??? Perhaps Lee's got a harem on the go and it's all about to come out.....

It can't be the new clubs, or the 6 week break. If I had a break like that, and bought some new shiny sticks, I would play like god.

Then the cheque would clear on the shiny stuff, my usual swing faults would reappear, and normality would resume.

Doom merchants was the incorrect phrase to use :o, and so I apologise Craw. It's just that a few of the lads at my club were chirping about Westwood, and I sort of got carried away with all the negativity.
Let's hope that his bad mood was because he had the wrong shafts in his irons 2 weeks ago, and a broken driver and incorrect replacement last week. Today's 7 under seems to suggest that Ping have nearly got it right, although he did say in the post-round interview that the driver still needs tweaking because of too much side spin.

Dont think it was sidespin he was worried about. I think it was more his backspin was too much as he was having trouble into the wind.
