So Christmas Day has come and gone. All the anticipation, subterfuge and scheming has either worked and we're still alive, or it didn't work, the wife didn't like her presents and were drinking our meals through a stra for the next few weeks.

On the whole, it's been a good day in our family. Everyone happy about what Santa delivered for them. Christmas dinner was good, still not managed the biscuits and cheese yet- fell asleep on the sofa and had to be wakened to get desert before the young uns ate it all!

Today is a more relaxed day. We're not heading for the sales today, just winding down after a busy couple of days.

Once we get home tonight it will be feet up time and a start to one of the books Santa brought.

Hope you all have had as good a time as I have had. Enjoy the rest of the day and all the best to those who are trying to venture out onto the course either today or tomorrow. Looks like it will be cold but clear in our neck of the woods.

Just been out for a wee dander along the front at Prestwick. Prestwick Old Course was quite busy (lucky so and so's), but there were around 500 brave souls doing a charity dip in the sea that got the biggest cheers. Well done to them for braving the elements to raise funds for the Malcolm Sargeant House.

took a break from golf yesterday but played Xmas Eve and again today. today by far the coldest. Despite sun and new sweaters I was shivering. Thinking of having a couple of 'rest' days now - those sales are beckoning. Did try out my very neat Odyssey Practice bag - easily holds 1/2 set and light as a feather. Thanks to Mr B. for that one - but then he got his reward (see following post!)

Happy New Year to one and all

Well done to everyone who managed to avoid the shops and got out to play and to those that enjoyed their festive golfing books and DVD's. If you are out this weekend to play and burn off the turkey enjoy it and wrap up warm as they say it will be cold in that wind
