Yesterday that is

I worked in the morning and was thoroughly peed off

I played in the monthly medal and shot 76-12 = 64 in the afternoon

Went and saw the fabulous Jools Holland and his R & B Orchestra in the evening

I am now waiting for HDID to tell me if I won and also what cut I have got. I made a big swing change yesterday and it really paid off. I missed two or three shortish putts but canned a couple of good ones so I guess that balances out. My last 3 scores have been 76, 78, 76 so I guess that erradicates the 24 stableford points I was on here moaning about 2 weeks ago!

Was a fan of Bob's until that remark about Jools Holland's R&B orchestra. T thought Bob was a man of immaculate taste:D but apparently not.
 
That sounds like a good day! And single figures is tantalisingly close, well played (forget about 17 and remember the long putts).

I went to work and was really annoyed, people are morons.

Went to play the midweek stableford with my buddy and was behind 3 4 balls who let each other through, but not us. Took 5 hours in the heat, I lost concentration (and got pretty annoyed with them) and only racked up a disappointing 34 points. Morons.

Went home and watched the Apprentice, Sugar fired Gabi who was cute, so I was annoyed with him too. Moron.

Tried to sleep but its too hot and I was reliving the rubbish at work and rubbish on the course, so got annoyed with myself. I'm a moron.

New day. Not annoyed.

Yet.

Nice shooting Chris thats a great score , let us know how the result & the cut went , more than likely a 10 H,cap now ... & only a good round from singles .. Congrats
 
Well, I dont know whether to be happy or sad! The handicap has been reduced from 11.7 to 10.5. That's a new lowest record for me but wanted to get below 11 playing handicap.

We have a "gold letter comp" on Sunday so I suppose that I still stand a chance if I can maintain the same form.

Well played. That is a good run of scores you're putting together lately. Asit goes, I'm a fan of Jool Holland. Actually I've liked him ever since his days in Squeeze (what a great band they were) and I like his R&B band. Saw them at Ascot racecourse last year

I dream of a sub 80, to be honest playing to my handicap would be nice.

I suppose thats a good trade off after missing out on the pro-am yesterday, the Yum Yum girls said to say hello....:whoo:

Cheers Scotty, glad that you had a good day, I wasnt complaining about the £10 entry but its a sign of the times. Hope that Yumyums served up the usual quality of hot dog!
