well done paul !

top top player these days. Great 2009 so far and getting to the right age to start winning the odd major, he seems to have the game for it.

Currently carrying the unwanted 'best player not to win a major' tag. :o

Good job, I say....well done....

I still can't believe that putt yesterday on the 18th.....it was 100% dead centre and skipped right (left as we looked).

No wonder some of the pros used the greens as an excuse.

Shame about Rory.....

Well done Ross Fisher - tremendous final round. Almost a shame he came 2nd.
Hopefully now Casey can push on and win a really big one!! He's got the game

I'm gutted! Casey is one of my favorite tour pros, if not the favorite, however with £5 ew on Fisher at 25/1 I was praying he made a mistake whilst following him for the final holes. How he got that ball up over the bunker lip on 17 I don't know! Especially after hitting a poor over cooked draw in there. To be honest though making a birdie at the last two holes sort of made him a deserved winner, even with my vested interest.

Congrats to Fisher though, a great round / tournament. I reckon he has a good chance of defending his crown next week :D

awk I thought by the title you were referring to me lol. I dont like Paul Casey - too cockey for my liking but well done all the same

Too cocky???????

Hmmmmmmmm, there are a thousand words I could use to describe Casey and cocky would not be one of them

Paul Casey cocky? Can't agree with that, confident, yes.

I was at Wentworth on Saturday and must of watched at least 50% of the field on the first. Positioned along the side of fairway at driving distance and watching players approach their second shots, not one managed a smile and most walked alone. But Casey, along with Jiminez, were chatting away and smiling and looking very relaxed. I know they're under pressure, but at least Casey and Jiminez looked like they were enjoying themselves.

That's one of the reasons why Casey is my favourite pro and others for his ball striking ability, (a 4iron - 267yds!).
The way he comes across at interviews, always friendly and a very positive attitude.

A major beckons this year!

Golfmmad.

I liked the way his swing is becoming invulnerable to pressure ( not quite there yet, but.... )

I liked the way he didn't panic when Fisher was putting him under pressure, but he lifted his game just when he needed to.

Generally a brilliant performance, imo.

And I still want that swing.

Yes I was very impressed with Casey, and Fisher yesterday both of them used to look a bit vunerable under pressure but not any more. Paul just looked composed and calm especially on the last, that 3 iron looked perfect and what an up and down from the sand.

Casey's driving stats still show that bethpage may be a bit tight for him in the US Open, but if the sun shines you have to fancy his chances at Turnberry this year.
