Weird feeling, sunday morning and no golf !

Another rainy day in East Sussex has unfortunately just been spoiled by a two minute appearance of the sun.

Haha. I'm sure it will be the other way round in the very near future. The weekend weather that we have had in October and November has been exceptional and a wind jacket has only been needed once.

Played 4 ball winter league match this morning. All that misery in the rain to miss a 3 foot putt on the last to win.:( Oh well it is done on a league basis, so 3 points in the bag.

Amazingly we did not have to move one ball on the green to avoid any puddles. Fairways were a bit sodden, but after my recent lesson I now thin everything so didn't affect me much.

Me and my friend played today, torrential rain for 4 hours, and we both posted our personal best on the course!!! I felt a 'breakthrough' round was imminent, but I did not anticipate it in these conditions today!

Despite coming home absolutely drenched, I couldn't be happier!!!

Worked last night and wouldn't have got back in time for my normal Sunday 4 ball, thankfully the course was closed so didn't miss out in the end. We could be up for a few weekends like this with what is forecast weather wise

We went off at 11.45 in lovely sunshine, although the woollies and jackets were on,lovely day but temperature dropped right down when sun went behind the big black cloud...which meant it was peeing down on someone else in the Clyde valley!!
Can't believe how lucky we've been weather wise..absolutely brilliant, although the mitts will be on next week!!
Jimbo

The course was open, but I doubt anyone was stupid enough to play.

I went to silvermere and spent a small fortune on winter clothes instead.

Partner and I played first round of winter knockout yesterday, in permanent rain. Had to move the balls a few times on the green, but we were 4 up after 9! Opposition were tempted to try and suggest it was unplayable I think, but they decided to carry on after a 10 minute tea break.

We then won the 10th too, so they called it a day, gave us the match, and we played back down the 18th.

Happy days, even if it was rather wet!!

I promised a one a week limit so here's this weeks...

Went out at 8am start on Sunday. freaking glorious. Just a social 4-ball buggy v buggy for scoring at Ile Aux Cerfs GC

Day started well and the water taxi put the boot down to get us across quicker so we jumped a spot on our tee time

Low point was that the ice wasn't ready for buggy's coolbox so he had to bring it out to us on the 4th, and not a moment too late!

Humidity went stupid high for an hour but rain stayed away & the sun shone throughout and after my buggy lost 2&1 we went double or quits on the par 4 18th SI 1 only for me to par it FIR/GIR and two putts to take the hole and level the round

Really enjoyable morning
