I have been given the job of booking a golf trip for four people, varying handicaps. We are looking to play Fri/Sat/Sun and the Weekend in question is in June, just as the Euro Championship are in full swing.
We are based in West Yorkshire and are prepared to travel up to two hours. What we are looking for is a venue near a city/town centre. Golf courses close by not to hard as one person is off 28. Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Head to Formby, then St Anne's Old Links and Blackpool North Shore.

Close enough but far enough also, good nightlife in Southport and Blackpool/St Anne's.

Can vouch for that but a little further afield, head to Ayrshire. Lots of fantastic Links golf at brilliant prices.

I can also vouch for ayrshire but a bit more than 2 hours and getting to the M6 from from West Yorkshire generally involves a drive on the A65 which is the road from hell, Skipton to the M6.
