Week away.....any recommendations?

we were due to go to the maldives on the day the sunami struck,as an alternative we chose the hyatt regency at sharm el shekh,on t.a recomendation. Our opinion, fantastic, 5star plus, dont go anywhere else, other than center parcs.

When I need a relatively inexpensive place for some sun I go to The Hideaway Club in Northern Cyprus. Plenty of good restaurants around and a few decent places to visit but I go because it is very relaxing and no kids. Also, as it is in the Turkish part of the island you spend Turkish Lira so cheaper to live than a Euro country

I know I am late, but I wish to give my tip in case someone else wants to plan a golf holiday! One of the most beatuful place I visited is the Lake of Garda, in Italy: here the lanscapes are beautiful, there are excellent golf courses (you can book a gold hotel with spa), fine food and wine, and if you are planning a romantic holiday, Verona, one of the most romantic cities in the wirld, is not far away!

I'd second this. Sirmione is a lovely walled town right on Lake Garda and although can be a bit pricey, is absolutely wonderful.

Failing that, Madrid is great and should be toasty that time of year.

I'll second the Hyatt regency, stayed there a couple if years ago and prob one of the best holidays I've ever had. Hotel was top draw, we went in the September too and it was still very hot. The golf course is built now too and the area has expanded a little more as when we went it was the hotel or nothing. Didn't bother me as still plenty to do plus it meant I got to go diving again.
