Wedges

it's a bit subjective really, but I love the new Mizuno MP T-11 wedges. My 60/05 is beautiful to hit and even spins for me, and I very rarely get enough spin to even stop the ball, nevermind drag it back to the pin...

Really depends on budget and the player. No company really stands out as value for money, each has its own positives and negatives, some more of one than the other!

the ones from sainsburys, just make sure you get the seasoned ones oh...oh and some garlic mayo.

On a serious note one mans gold is another mans...... well you know what i mean. try and have a wack with as many as you can find to see what suits you, ive just come from vokeys and can tell you the vokeys are alot longer than the mizzy MPT10's that i replaced them with, but im having a better success rate with the mizzy's. just try as many as you can.

Just dont carry 4 or 5 of them whatever you do!
Oy, I've got 4! Don't always carry them all though. Theres a lot of par 4's at my track that require a wedge after a decent drive. Some with danger at the front, some at the back. A good wedge is priceless...

ditto

pitch
sand
58
64

how often do you use the 64*, and more importantly can you not play that same shot with a 58*

I used to play STK 46*. 52 & 60 but teh 60 never got used, now gone to 46, 52, 58 and can honestly say if there is a shot that required more loft than an open 58* wedge, id not have the ability to play it as required anyway,

I tend to play the 64° for a high flop shot with no allowance for run (that’s the plan anyway haha). I find playing the 58 open like a 64° doesn’t give me the same feel as a true 64°. It feels comfortable for me... maybe that’s why I’m a HC19

I've got a PW and a 58 vokey...

Is it advisable to get more? I always use the 58 from the bunkers, for chipping and short pitches.

Non of the big name brands make bad wedges.
The main thing to look for is the loft and bounce. Get those right for your swing and any of the "names" will work.

I'd add to this good advice by considering what type of course you normally play, meaning fairway type and sand condition.

I had
titty 775cb pw
cg10 52
yonex 56
nike sv 60

my chipping was awesome (according to my 11h/c mate)

changed to the pw and 52/58 vokey and gone to rat crap

theres me thinking Vokeys are the dogs danglies

I've got nike and mizuno and, although aztecs and other mizuno afficianodo's may kill me, i much prefer the nike and will likely get one to replace the mizuno 58.

the nike sv 60 was my fav club, felt really confident pulling it out. God knows why I changed, believed the hype I guess

might even flog the vokeys and get nike wedges
