Wedge advice

The difference is they guy I'm talking about is off 19 and doesn't know one end of the wedge from the other.

Seen a couple of those too (and probably been/am one at times).

Golf club manufacturer's dream!

For some reason I hit my LW poorly too often so retire it - specially in the winter - while I see a very high number of med-high to high 'cappers using it often and well. It's likely partially confidence and partially (lack of) practice but for those periods, I'd sooner use the SW opened up and let its bounce do its job - my LW us low bounce. Did use a 64* for a while (in my Pelz devotee days) but in a month of frequent play, I only used it twice - for exactly the same shot on the same hole both times - so figured that, for all its fun, it wasn't worth having in the bag.

Links golf taught me the knock-down shot and I think I've got the high one now too - after 3 days watching some of the guns close up playing them!

I must admit, my LW doesn't get used much at all in a round of golf, sometimes not at all, I like to use it on compacted sand shots and when I need to get up and over something quickly. Flop shot is one of my favourite shots to play, worked on it with my pro and can play it very well at times, although I do struggle with getting enough power into them, sometimes defeating the object of getting up and over a bunker with a soft landing and just dunking it straight into the bunker. Couldn't be without it though.

The thread has served it's purpose though, I'm going to see how I go with what I have got and maybe look to chopping in the 52 for a 50 at some point but highly unlikely I'll bother as I can play half shots.
