For a sand wedge, you will be looking for about 12* bounce.

Do they not do a sand wedge with your iron set?

I use a Taylormade Z TP 56* with 12* bounce for my bunker shots, but the shape is very simular to the vokey's, so if your not getting on with the vokey, these might not be a good choice.

The MX19 SW that you have is a high bounce 56 degree club. Absolutely fine, and really quite forgiving. Replacing it with an MX series 56 wedge would be a waste of money. Not much to choose from them if I've got it right.

You'd probably be better off getting a gap wedge (GW) of about 51 / 52 degrees to fit between the PW at 48 degrees (if I remember correctly) and the SW at 56.

I've been impressed with the MD wedge, see the review section here, or the GM mag readers tests this month.

This is all of course just my opinion.

Hapless, he said he has Vokey's so I assume he's not using the MX19 SW. :)

If you are looking for forgiving I would try a Cleveland CG14, have tried before and found very easy to hit. If you are happy to try something a bit more obscure, have a look at an Orka FK2 forged wedge, not expensive, custom fit as standard and is about the only club in my bag that has remained for over 12 months.

Perhaps then he should chuck the MX19 56 SW back in the bag then :D

I'm trying a new G wedge that matches my set. It's a big and forgiving thing compared to my tour wedges, but so far, it's proving very easy to use.

I reckon whoever suggested an MX Mizuno wedge might be spot on. I had a look at Vokeys on Sunday.....probably the dog's danglies around the green, but I'm after a bit more forgiveness on the full shots...

Due to the imminent arrival of my MX irons, I will have two Callaway X wedges for sale. One is 52 degrees, the other is 56.
Both in very, very good condition and will, as usual, be offered at ridiculously low prices
;)
