This is an interesting question that spurred from the "golf in the rain post."

How do all of you forum members if you do, check the weather for your round of golf. Whether it be the internet, on the t.v or in the newspaper.

My self, I use a website called www.Metcheck.com - has never bin wrong once.

I would like to hear thoughts and views from everyone on this forum, recommendations are also welcome, as i feel this is an interesting topic.

Liam - The Junior.

Good site that one, Metcheck. I use it for forcast for other outdoor activities and it is good. Its forcasts are made from info supplied by enthusiasts around the country. can be a little bit off if looking over a week ahead, but hey this is Britain, the weather changes by the hour!

we always use accuweather http://www.accuweather.com/ukie because of the long range function but I quite like the look of metcheck, not seen it before

will be keeping a very close eye on St Andrews forecast (currently looks to be wet and v cold!) all week in advance of the GM Challenge Match on Friday

Think so, Atticus. Check the link again tomorrow. It's a live webcam, photos every second or so. You can see the flags blowing in the breeze (in daylight)

golf has been a great reason to give in to my life-long weather obsession. Is this following a record?
On any given day or evening you'lll catch us checking:
sunday paper - weather forecast for the week
BBC digital weather maps
BBC evening forecast - national and local
electronic weather forecaster (upstairs) AND barometer (by the front door)
Having read all the signs and portents, fair or otherwise, we usually pack the car and head for the course anyway.

Mid morning cloudy with no rain. Looks like my dinnertime round is looking good.

Bloody hell!!! My playing partner's cried off already! Looks like I may be going solo then. Saying that, it does look a bit grey outside, looks like we're going to get plenty of the wet stuff.

Liam,
I am entered for a foursome on Tuesday morning. Two inches of rain and 23mph wind.
Guess I will not make it.
Thanks for showing this site.

usually look out the window for local as the weather forecasters keep moving me. I either get lumped in with the midlands, east anglia or london.
memo to weather bureau - hills make a difference!
