I wonder if anyone can point me in the direction of some good offeres on waterproofs, I was going to try and pull mine through this season but a new set is now required due to the continuous rain?

Okay I realise the budget, but I bought a storm proof Stubert jacket, seemed like a good jacket, zip on the arms to turn it into a short sleeve if required, nice ventilation flap in the back to help keep you cool.

Nonsense, they were just gimmicks, when it rained heavy, the zp on the arms even though they had a material covering them, let the water in, result my arms were soaked. The flap on the back let the water in, result my back was soaked.

I paid cheap and got rubbish.

I now have a set of full Gortex jacket and bottoms which I know will do the business, expensive, yes they were, but for the most part you only get what you pay for.

I have had an email today from Clubhouse Golf detailing a sale/offers on a selection of ProQuip suits. Might be worth a look as ProQuip generally have a good reputation.

Recently bought a ProQuip Tour Flex 360 suit. It's very comfortable but I've not tested it in the rain yet.
I got mine from my local pro but they're available at s very good price here,

Slime.

I've been looking at the ProQuip stuff - looks decent. I have a Ping suit that's lasted me well for a few years - not sure it'll hold up to all this recent rain though. Gortex might be the way to go!

I've got the Proquip 360 trousers and they are perfect, they didn't let a drop through at the weekend and it was horrendous rain. They are good in the cold as well over trousers as a wind stop.

I'm going to buy some ProQuip 360s.

Are the 360 trousers worth buying over the Aquastorms?

Also, this is probably a really stupid question, how does the sizing of the trousers work? It gives a waist measurement, but would you normally wear these over regular trousers such that you need a bigger size than you would normally wear? Or are these ok just to wear as a normal pair of trousers?

Something weird just happened on Amazon. I just ordered a pair of these (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B008FZY61G/ref=ox_ya_os_product Small, black, 31 inch leg) and paid £24! Which struck me as a massive bargain!

The price is now up to £79.99 for the same trousers. What's going on? My order is direct with Amazon, so I don't understand what the constant change in price is all about - I could understand if it were via Amazon Marketplace and I'd ordered the last pair with a particular vendor.
