Waterproof walking shoe suggestion.

I’ve had one pair of Scarpa boots (They do shoes too) for over 12 years.
They’ve been battered, Walking the dog, walks in the lakes etc.
Real lightweight but sturdy with loads of support.

The vibram soles are still like new but one has finally started to come away from the boot. I’m presuming the adhesive has Just hardened.
There’s no way I want to throw them so i’ll be getting them repaired.
Got a pair of Raichle too but I always wear the Scarpa.. Fantastic Boots!

Gutted, just got back from Rome and passed a scarpa shop, it was the other side of the road and certain death was on the cards should we of crossed. Unless we had gone 100 yds up and do. Gutted we never went in.

Had a pair of Berghaus for around 7/8 years and are fantastic walking shoes. Still in extremely good condition despite doing loads of walking and never leak. If I was to replace them I'd look at getting another pair of Berghaus or North face.

Both the wife and me bought North Face Hedgehogs - they use Goretex for waterproofing. Pretty lightweight and very comfy.

I'm on my 2nd pair of these, they are brilliant. I ruined the first pair kicking tennis balls on the beach for the dogs, the instep finally gave way after months of booting the ball as far and as high as I could!

Have had the 2nd pair for 2 and a half years, wear them every day. Was on the beach in Filey yesterday, and they are still 100% waterproof, walked through loads of puddles and feet were bone dry at the end.
