Have a listen to a spokesman from the RAC Foundation explaining on BBC R4 Today this morning why, then try explaining why it is inappropria that ‘drivers’ in self-driving cars have something to keep their attention to stop them dozing off. Because that is why it is being suggested.

You have to be able to resume control of the car at any moment.
How can you do that if your halfway through a box set.
These so called intelligent law makers have lost the plot.

As daft a piece of legislation as I've ever seen. Although still illegal I bet some drivers will start using their phones thinking if they can watch TV that must be allowable as well
