I seem to get through a Footjoy Golf glove every month.

How? Do you walk acroos the car park on your hands?
I got my glove at the Luton Hoo meet - it's nice and shiny now.....probably explains my clubs slipping in my hands.....

You would probably get away with one wash, you may as well give it a go 'cos if it doesn't work you were going to get a new one anyway. Try it and report back.

I have washed FJ GTX gloves, turned out ok and clean.
Wouldn't wash any type of leather glove. I can't understand how you are going through them so quickly.

Left hand up all those who grip the club to tightly? And for Lefties right hand up all those who grip the club to tightly? This is the most common cause of worn golf gloves.

Ye I think a glove lasts me a month, maybe 5 weeks. I guess I grip to tight. Also getting hard skin on my right hand, first finger after the thumb.
I have a glove for the range(old comp glove) and one for practice rounds and another for comps. This is really just to get some more use out of them before they go in the bin. A wash would not help my gloves though cos they are not dirty they are falling apart of have a hole.

Mine last about 2 months , then they move to the practice bag and then that one gets binned. Nice little cycle of gloves that gets the most out of them.
I would probs hope to get about 20/25 rounds out of a leather glove before I move it to a practice setting.

That's not gripping the grip to tightly, but it will make you go blind.
What is all this. My Sciflex gloves have been going for yonks (all season) and apart from a few scuff marks only just appearing on the pad there's nothing wrong with them. My practice gloves take a real pounding and even they tend to last 6 weeks easily

I washed two FJ all-weathers once and attached them to the aerial on the front wing of my 1984 Escort in the hope of drying them out on the 30 min drive to a club in surrey.
Half way along the A281, my aerial fell off.....
I think the extra wind-resistance was the last straw for the aerial.

I normally buy 3 gloves every March and they usally last the season. I play alot of golf. I have never washed a glove, I have 3-4 gloves in the practice bag so the comp gloves stay in the bag.
I would hope to get about 20 full rounds out of 1 glove, but never counted.

I tend to go thru about 8-10 rounds before replacing my glove. I thought that was quite a quick period to replace. Feel much better now. Cheers!! 
I think when I swing well I dont grip tight but try and choke it when swing badly. There's some correllation there I think!

I never wear leather gloves, preferring something like these Mizuno ones...

Less than a fiver each and are hard wearing and comfortable.
Wear one about 5 or 6 times, pop it in the washing machine with the normal wash and it comes out looking, and feeling, like new.
I bought 3 blue ones almost two years ago and they are still in fantastic condition and I will use one today.

This year I have gone through three leather gloves this summer and now switched to synthetics for the winter, leather gloves do not hold up well when it rains but I think they are superior in the summer months.
If I'm playing in the rain I usually swap straight away to a synthetic glove as leather are no good. If it gets really bad I'll even ditch the synthetic and stick the old FJ wet glove on.
