Was a 10 second penalty enough for this??????

Nope it's not enough - would suggest it should be a ban , he clearly deliberately drove into Hamilton because he couldn't control his anger
 
had Hamilton not had a problem with the headrest I think we wouldn't be so bothered.
 
It was the F1 equivalent of a retaliatory headbutt in football - red card + 3 match ban....
Should have been a DQ at the very least. You just don't deliberately drive into another car.....
 
Should have been black flagged, and should now be investigated further. Whatever mind set leads to a driver deliberately ramming another driver is deeply concerning.

Scenario; last race of the season. Vettel leading the championship by a few points, and deliberately rams Hamilton. A 10 second penalty isn't really punishment.

Hmm, didn't that happen a few years ago when Schumacher rammed Hill. The F 1 authorities bottled it then and they bottled it this time. They give Vettel a three race ban and in this time Hamilton is 40 points ahead in the race for the title. That's not what the owners of F1 want.
Disgusting by Vettel and he will be remembered for it for the rest of his carreer. Shows that cheats do prosper.
 
Apparantly he is on 12 points out of a total 15 point allowance so the next offence is a one race ban for Vettel - expect some drivers to start winding him up
 
Should have been disqualified for the ram, the running into the back of him was just a misjudgement. Blaming Hamilton for braking then ramming him is outrageous!
Hamiltons data cleared him of any wrongdoing.

Or the reverse scenario; Hamilton leading by a few points in the final race. He now knows that the penalty he'll get for deliberately driving into Vettel is a 10 second stop/go penalty. Makes it very tempting to drive into him and try to take him out of the race.

Irrespective of who it happened to, there should be a ban. But the authorities will bottle it as they always do.
And. let's be honest, Vettel is no better. In fact I'd say he's worse. Alright if he's winning but toys out of the pram if he's not.
 
I reckon if anybody else had done this they would have had the proverbial book thrown at them... But, as it's a Ferrari driver then no probs... Huge double standards from the stewards... But, nothing new there then...
 
Vettel never got a ban as he drives for Ferrari. Hamilton wouldn't get a ban as he drives for Mercedes. They are fighting for the title, so the American owners won't allow such a thing, as the TV viewing numbers will drop even lower. F1 is no sport, it's full of double standards from top to bottom.

According to the in car data, Hamilton did the same speed round that corner as he did on the previous restart, neither speeding up or slowing down so Vettel made the mistake IMO.

As for blaming others, I've heard Hamilton apologise to his team on numerous occasions if something is his fault.
Did anyone hear him blaming anyone for the faulty headrest which ultimately cost him the race?
