Any suggestions from forummers of a weeks golf trip around £1k budget in America, for January?

Done Orlando a few years ago and looking to go somewhere different this time.

All suggestions welcome.

I think you will struggle to get something for £1k. At that time of year you need to be looking at Florida or Scottsdale/Phoenix to get decent weather and prices tend to be a bit higher as they are the only suitable areas so have a bit of a monopoly. You could possibly try Mexico but again I think you'll struggle with your budget.
You might be better off looking at Spain/Portugal or Turkey.

California should be ok at that time of year, shouldn't it? Depending on how warm you require though I guess.

You can fly relatively cheaply to LA because Norwegian run that route. Good competition keeps prices down.

EDIT: Flights are about £325 with Norwegian (would need to add golf equipment), and a bit over £400 with Virgin / BA / United, again, probably need to add a few bits to cover clubs etc.

For resort type places, Dominican Republic might be a good bet.

EDIT 2: I know you said America, and I'm sure you've got good reasons for going for the US, but if it were me, I'd be looking at South Africa; summer, incredible country to visit, good golf, cheap while you're there. Flights will likely mean it's more than £1k though.
