Ok, so I succombed to temptation after johng posted the other day about the 910 Drivers for only £216, and after calling the Club doing the sell-off, now find myself waiting for my new 910 D3 9.5, and drooling at the thought of the summer ahead.......

Just hoping Postie doesnt arrive with it when either my wife or son are at home, cos otherwise I'm Toast.........

It could prove to be a fab bargain, or I could be looking for a Buyer by May !!

Yep, know the feeling. I'm itching to take the R11 for a test run down the range!

Difference for me is that it doesn't matter if HID sees it, since I didn't have to pay for it! :cool: (Thanks GM!)

waiting on a 3 wood from Golfbidder - bloody driver turned up 5 minutes after I had to go out!!
 
I'm waiting for my 910 D2 to turn up aswell, pro orderd it on tuesday night and he said it's about a 5-7 working days delivery on them. Hope it turns up before next thursday as i'm off work thursday and friday and working saturday,sunday and monday.

Just wondered Aztec, if Taylormade drivers are so interchangeable with heads and shafts etc. Why is it taking as long as it is to get yours? I like them buy the way, but will wait until the price comes down. :)

Same shaft as you Craw, the RIP 60.

I looked at the specs, and figured that as its so similar to the NV-65S that I have had in my G5, and always liked, it should be good for me.

In contrast, I have a 905R Titleist with a ProForce V2 76g shaft, and I find it too heavy and 'dead' for me.

Anyone want to buy the 905R ?

I can only assume that we weren't allowed them before the release date (which is tomorrow).

Also, when TM were at Wentworth, they literally had 3 R11s which, I believe may have been the only ones in the country at the time, so I guess they also had to wait for the shafts etc to reach the UK.

But with release day being tomorrow, I'm holding out hope that Mr. Courier will delivery it tomorrow :)
 
Aztecs - surely you dont presume that your freebie will be winging its way to you before all those people that are waiting to part with their hard-earned ?

I'm sure you'll be number 3654, 3655, 3666th in the queue, so expect delivery by early May......

I am having a touch of deja vu Aztecs. Seem to remember you waiting impatiently for some old irons ! ;) ;) ;)
 
Strange that hte release date is tomorrow but AG have had them for a week....?

Looking at them again the other day my opinion hasn't changed but I did wonder about the matt finish on the heads. It's slightly rough. If any dirt gets onto it the head could mark up quite easily - whaddya think?

Also TM can't go back to making black heads anymore - not after the Marketing bloke saysing in the mag that they firmly believe that white is a better colour for a head than black.

I called up the club earlier - seems the old pro must have come back and swiped his old stock back, hope ur driver hasn't disappeared :D :D

Hope it brings you hours of fun + if it does I'd like to think I played some small part in it.

On the other hand, if it doesn't - serves you right you opportunistic so and so... ;)

I'm really terrible at waiting for stuff!

Murg - I asked about cleaning etc...and apparently it's the same matt finish as they've used before, so cleaning and whatnot shouldn't be an issue.

Will soon find out and I'll report back.

Hi Macster.

I honestly gave it no thought, other than to mention it on the forum. As I said in the initial post, for the 1st time ever, I have absolutely no desire to change my driver - at all. :o)

Glad somebody has managed to get a great deal - I'm more interested in who we'll have as a new pro to replace him, along with wondering what it will be like to actually have a pro who's interested in the game, the club, the members etc etc etc......

Hope you get the club soon and it works well for you.

I am waiting for taylor made basingstoke to send me a brand new r9 superdeep as the last one they sent had a massive chip out of it. Once i have it i can sell it to my mate still in the plastic and then go and order my nice new R11.

So come on TM step on it - I want to take delivery of my r11 in time for next weekend.
