VPN Question

One for Paddy, Phil or Fragger probably...

My VPN (PPTP) has stopped working externally. I can connect to it from inside my own network, but can not get on from outside.

Any ideas? firewall port 1723 is open, nothing else has changed to my knowledge.. Help!

Does it Get as far as username prompt or failing to connect at all?
Do you use a virgin hub btw?

How you getting to it from outside? IP or hostname? Do you have a static IP or is it DHCP and could have changed

hostname, the vpn box at my house has a static ip.

sky is my isp, i use no-ip.biz for dynamic dns

Check your isp isn't blocking VPN traffic. Also check the logs of your VPN device to see where and what is terminating the traffic.

And that port is being forwarded to your VPN router?
