These threads are never based on what is best or what people prefer just on slating anybody that dares buy a wedge more expensive than a Vokey................!!!!!!
But they will spend £300+ on a driver, makes me laugh.....

But they will spend £300+ on a driver, and NOT get fitted either, makes me laugh.....
My old dave whitlam wedges were Japanese forged, us machined, assembled in the uk, mahoosive carbon foot print beauties. Were they better than vokeys? May be. Better than my current nikes, may be. Are miura, scratch, epon, 14, royal collection, etc, better than vokeys? Who knows. Possibly, possibly not.
How much is opinion turned by price? There is evidence that people will not back down, once they have made a decision, regardless of how stupid the decision subsequently turns out to be.
Is it better to have a new wedge every month, to keep the grooves sharp?
Each to their own. But it does bug me when some one states that xxx is the best. It probably isn't. There is always something better out here some where.
Welcome to the Vokey club.
Pro's use the club that does the job best.
Check the stats,Vokeys are the most used wedges' on tour.
And a £220 Scotty Cameron that probs does Nowt for their game either................BUT each to their own
I have, for a surprise, Mizzy wedges.
The clue's in the word "Rumours"
Comparing a dunlop putter to a miura/vokey/cleveland is just plain ridiculous.
Didnt know Vokey did putters ,We be having a debate about wedges
A typo....It was 6.30 in the morning when I posted...
What is it about wedges that causes such heated debate ?
I personally found my Vokey wedges too heavy, and much prefer my Mizuno ones, which feel almost indentical when I swing them to my Mizuno irons. When I started played and you bought a new set of irons you got a wedge and sandwedge included in the set, and that was it. Happy days.

Find something you like the feel of - and accept that feel is a personal thing to you - and get on with it and don't bash other people for being different.
