Vokey

I'm no expert, but seriously, how much better can a Muira be than a Vokey or a vokey than a Cleveland or Mizuno, they're all a similar design with a few different shafts.
The club won't put the ball close to the hole on its own, the golfer on the end of it needs to practice regular with whatever he's got.

I use Vokeys, but I honestly think my scores wouldn't be any worse using a set of wedges by any other major manufacturer so long as I put the practice in.

A 6 quid Dunlop POS from Sports Direct could be the best wedge for you.
Ever tried one?

If not, how do you know what's best.
To find that out you have to try everything - and I mean everything.

Use what works. If you need to spend 150 quid on 1 wedge to find the one that works then so be it.
But don't belittle others who find Vokeys or Clevelands or Callaways or Pings or whatever works best for them.

The clue is in the "what works" bit......

U ask richard (munro) if hes used the Dunlop.......??..........and if Not he shouldnt Discount............

But u are quick to mock, have YOU tried a Miura or anything similar...........??

Cos if NOT then YOU CANT POSSIBLY COMMENT EITHER...............!!!!!!!

I personally have used
Ping
Vokey
Cleveland (various models )
Nike
Taylormade (various)
Mizuno
Miura
Vega
Sonartec
Solus
Burrows
Srixon
Cobra
MD Golf
Callaway ( almost all )
Ben Hogan

And the Winners, HANDS DOWN are

1) Vega
2) Sonartec

Yes Vokeys are DECENT............but IMO they are nowhere near the best.........some people are blinkered in their choices and influenced by others

I suggest u all go out there
Try them ALL
And buy the BEST THAT YOU CAN AFFORD ( and justify to HID )

Who's mocking?

Have I said Vokeys are best?

Have I said anything's better than anything else?

I think you'll find I probably haven't..........................

I use Vokeys because they work for me.

Could something else work - maybe but until these stop working I haven't got the readies available to try.

And stop shouting please........

Yes u do mock, why mention Dunlop in a thread containing Vokey when the guy has the audacity to mention Miura...........???

U jumped straight in at the 1st guys that dare to mention a non-mainstream brand

How Dare they............

The snobbery on here at times is a joke, if u fancy something thats NOT off the shelf then guys get belittled, mostly by jealous or ignorant golfers, that DONT know better, but should, and dont say it doesnt cos 1 of these same guys had a thread locked for something similar

If u have NO knowledge on something then why comment...??..............Have u hit a Miura club............??

I Dont give a damn what the badges on backs of my clubs say, if fancy it, try it, bag it.............simple, who does that Hurt......???

The majority of club golfers that use Miura irons/wedges,are the same people who also use the likes of Tour Edge,Sonartec,Vega.
Why is that ?

WHATEVER.....................?????

The 3 Brands u mention are superior to most mainstream brands out there and widely used on tours without great publicity or payment

I would put Tour Edge fairways up against anything currently being offered by the Big Boys..............try them and educate Yourself

Have you hit a Fazer

Then YOU can comment.

YES Ive hit Dunlop clubs, 1st set irons I ever bought.............So tick that box

Fazer............NO

But I did dabble with Progen fairway woods and wedges, and THEY were Very Very Good

BUT HAVE YOU HIT A MIURA ...........??

I fear by your reluctance to answer and thus ignore the question, then I think we know the answer.............

If as I fear this is True..........................

Then come back to ME once YOU have#

THEN YOU CAN MAKE COMMENT

Now now children, everyone's allowed their opinion, I I don't think anyone has claimed a particular make is best, just what they prefer.

Interesting eh ?
Thing is,i bought mine because it worked, and not because i wanted to be different.

These threads are never based on what is best or what people prefer just on slating anybody that dares buy a wedge more expensive than a Vokey................!!!!!!

I have no idea why you're following this line.......

I haven't even seen a Miura let along hit one.
I can't say how good, bad or indifferent they are.
I'm unlikely to be in a position to swing one.

So what?

I haven't commented on how good or bad they are.
I didn't bring other brands into the thread.
How can it be snobbery to suggest that a cheap club could be better than one 25 times more expensive?
It would be snobbish to suggest that the Dunlop couldn't be as good because you have to spend 150 quid on a wedge......

Take a breath and read back.............
