I thought it was picking a hole from your own club (or a favourite course). I thought the idea was to have it on home turf so to speak as like others have said the chances of the majority playing Muirfield, Augusta etc means it makes it too virtual

Gonna add a hole from a previous course I was a member at.
The hole is 505 yds par 5 and straight as an arrow. However, at 260 yds there is a brook across the fairway and an Oak tree either side of fairway narrows it here. All the way down the right hand side is another brook with out of bounds wide of it. The last 80 yards are up hill, with the green a good 30 yards above the fairway from a 100 yards out. There is a big bunker front right, trees left and 5 yards behind the green is in someones backgarden and out of bounds.
Great risk reward hole for the big hitters, can easily make 4 or 7+
