Virgin Media Price rise email

Broadband prices are dropping. Virgin are still the best. Just tell them your leaving and their cancellation dept will sort a better deal out, even mid contract. Worked for me. Bb and basic TV which we don't use for £30.

Just starting to look around at alternatives to Virgin. I haven't been with Sky for a number of years, is their internet slow enough to be irritating? I wouldn't mind a switch just to get a few channels I haven't seen for a number of years. I think you also get Netflix with Sky? The EE/BT combo doesn't sound bad either.
We have Sky and their Sky Q system works well. You can record multiple programmes at the same time, whilst watching something else. You can have satellite boxes for TV's in different rooms.
We use their broadband and it's fine, but the mesh system with their Q boxes didn't work too well in our old house with brick walls. Our new house has plasterboard walls internally so the signal passes through a lot better. Still not as good as a proper mesh system though IMHO but fine for most.
Our speed is circa 60mbps. There is faster available, but that is more than adequate for our use.

Just signed up with Lit Fibre. 100M up and down. Free for 9 months then £18 per month for 15 months.
Was concerned about ditching the landline till we realised it's received 3 calls in 2023 and we were paying £36 per month for that and 36M broadband from EE.
