Do you have regular coaching at the moment? If yes, what have you specifically been working on? Eliminating the push. This is now rectified in the long irons. now bending from the hips with less knee flex. Short game:- Work in progress, touch like an elephant at times. Driving, still to be scheduled
What do you consider to be the strengths of your game?
Weaknesses? : Strengths, long irons (good distance), Weakness, most definately, driving. rarely use in rounds and disadvantaged by this.
How often do you play/practise?. 3 times a week ave playing, couple of times practicing short game. Hate range/mats
What is your scoring average/handicap? Low 80's H/C 13.4
Do you keep stats? not officially but on sonocaddie
What is your strike/shot/shape pattern for the following clubs.
Driver/Tee shots. Driver, push/slice. Others straight with a slight fade
Fairway woods. fade
Rescue Club. straight but only use from tee
Long/medium irons straight/slight fade
Short irons. straight/draw

Cheers for the last one T :(

I'm not sure how useful those video's are as I have done some changes since then. Bending more from the hips, not as much flex in the knees, back not as hunched.
I had a pain in my knee at that time and think that is what was causing me to lift my foot.

I will try and get HID to come to the range and do some more

REALLY like the fact that you have got video of your swings on the golf course
I am convinced that we swing completely different on the course than on the range

I am going to comment on the down the line swing
Check out where your feet are aiming and where your shoulders aim
Your feet aim to the right of the target
Your shoulders are aligned to the left
This is a very common problem that I deal with in my pupils every day
This has a huge effect on the shape and direction of your golf swing, from this start position you are always going to move the ball left to right through the air

Next time you play
You are going to need to feel the following
Feet aim left (open)
Shoulders and forearms aim right (closed)
This is going to feel extremely strange to start with, but if you film it again it will look square down the line.

To develop a consistent motion you have got to start from a set up position that it is correctly aligned.

I spend 90% of my time dealing with my pupils alignment. I feel that if you do not aim correctly then you will never be able to swing the club on the same line. You will always have to compensate for the mis alignment at address

Think about this
If you had Tiger Wood's swing and your alignment, his swing would get worse
If you had Tiger Wood's alignment and your swing, your swing would improve!!

Let me know how you get on

PS - love the shot of the day! You were standing too close to the ball!! After you hit it!! £250 if you send it in to You've Been Framed?

It's strange because I know my alignment is a problem and probably my biggest single problem and I think I am aligned correctly until someone points it out, which they frequently do.
I'm going to try and record another to see how I have progressed since these were shot as I have put in a bit of practice to rectify some of the faults.

Many thanks for your time.

LOL on shot of the day. At first I thought it was an air shot, but you can clearly see the ball jump when replayed. It might only move 1/2 inch but it moved.
I knew it would return to bite my bum when I uploaded it for Tony
