Video of Smiffy Hitting 350 yard Drives

the actual post is about the R11 7 wood I got fitted for today.

Don't give up on life yet, you're still young man. There is plenty of time for 7 woods, chippers & mobility scooters when you get to 30.

I've got a spare hybrid head cover you can use to cover your shame! ;) ;)

Lol, so why is it a hybrid/rescue comes with no shame and is almost a fashion thing, yet a 7 wood is shameful almost like carrying a chipper. There isn't much difference between the two both aimed at people who cant hit long irons well

I TOTALLY DISAGREE ODDSOCKS 100%.....

...both 7 wood and hybrid/rescue users Should be ashamed :D lol

oh and chipper users really should be strung up ;) :p

nah each to their own if ppl struggle to hit longer irons
and dont mind advertising the fact to everyone good for them ;)

but seriously
what i said above :D

but seriously seriously

Each to their own if it works for them then good, i just dont think i'll ever use one
but still think seriously that chipper users should be strung up ;)

Its not that I cannot "hit" long irons its just I cannot get my darn 3 iron to carry bunkers on the front of greens and then stop on said green! I hit my drives long enough (as anyone from EB will tell you) to attack long par 4s and shorter par 5s in two but lack the second club to stop it on the green.

If I could stop a long iron quick I would go pro but as I am only in my 1st year of serious golf I am nowhere near that so therefore the 7 wood gives me the same carry but a steeper angle in therefore will stop on said green.
I actually own a 80 year old 2 iron that I can pure time after time. That is fantastic fun but not practical on the course as the flight is so low and it runs and runs almost out of control!

I have found a 22* hybrid would also be as good but the wood just has that higher flight that I am looking for when I play my home course.

I really have no idea what the problem people have with 7 woods and hybrids. There are so many different types of courses to play not that a standard SW-1 iron with a 3 wood and driver just would not work everywhere.

I am really looking forward to getting my hands on the club and I pity all those who struggle just because they cannot get over some peer pressure when it comes to choosing the right clubs for them for their home course.

Plus I cannot wait to prove everyone wrong! :D :D :D

I have a 21 degree wood but at least Benross had the decency to call it a '5 wood Max' to help hide my embarassment.

does it matter what you use, its called golf not i dont like this or that club, or you look stupid with that etc.
if i could hit a 3 wood consistantly i would carry one, but i cant and dont, if i could hit a 7,9,11 wood to a distance i wanted i would carry them.
the only important number is net score, its a score card not a post card, and it does not matter how you get there
shagster :o
