OK.....could you all now please stop giving Gary tips how to go super low, seeing as I have to take him on in the Play your best challenge this year..........Gibbo, are there any nuggets you would like to give Gary to redress the balance here?........... :rofl:

It's been so long since I had a decent h/cap I've forgotten :angry:

Course management is one of the things I am going to work hard on this year, that and improving my short game so when I miss a green I have more shots to call on to get up and down.

I play regularly with a + handicapper and played with him when he shot the course record a couple of years ago, he's relentless when his game is on, a birdie machine, we have spoke about this before and he says, you absolutely must shoot at the flag with your scoring clubs, 9 and up, none of this middle of the green stuff, if you get in trouble from the tee, don't try and play stupid shots, take your medicine and chip out, if you can't hit the shot 75% of the time forget it.
