The past few games i haven't hit the ball great at all mostly a pull hook,so decided to use one of my lessons,i'd booked a block of 5 and had used 4.

Anyway i'd played yesterday morning and was hitting my irons terrible so wasn't holding out much for the lesson in the afternoon. After a couple ball on the range with my pro he asked where i was aiming ,i said on the flag in the distance, instead i was aiming miles right and trying to pull everything round to counteract what i thought was ok.

After a few no so good shot i felt i was coming across myself but actually wasn't i got my slight draw back ,so of to the range at St Andrews today as my course was closed due to the snow and all i can say was he was correct i've now got my swing back on plane and now need to goto Specsavers as my eyes are painted on
:o so have booked another block of 5 during the winter to keep me on track and hopefully back to single figures.

The thing with a lesson though is a) working on the drills properly and b) trusting it on the course for it to be any value. I have to say alignment is one area I'm pretty conscious about and always use some alignment sticks at the range and look for an intermediate target just in front of my ball on the course. I know I'm aiming properly so I've no excuses for it going left and right at frequent intervals.
