UST frequenct filter puuter shaft

Want to take my putter down another inch but its fitted with one of these :

Should I get a pro to do this or has anyone cut these with a saw (or some other suitable tool) ?

Suitable for butt trimming, pipe cutter same as I would use on iron shafts. Would only use a saw if it was a cut off blade, hacksaw likely to leave a nasty sharp edge that would need ground out.

I got a Pro (Fitter) to do it when I installed one in a 'Hoganardi' head, but it's simply a case of butt-trimming to the desirable length.
