Use of buggies

blimey some people. its a bugy for crying out loud and we're not playing for a green jacket. I'd have no problem competing against a guy in a bugy.

Buggy all the time unless bad weather prohibits them, comp, social & club champs (for everyone)

When i play a dinky little uk course again i'll prob walk :-)

10 years ago maybe, nothing like the advantage these days with the improvements in waterproofs, wet weather gloves, umbrellas & waterproof bags.

Obviously some one who hardly uses a buggy. I used one for around 20 years but I now virtually never play in the rain because it so hard to keep everything dry with a buggy, particularly your hands and one of major factor is that you are damn cold on one in the winter.

So you have to waste Doctors time (time that could be spent seeing someone who is really ill) to get a certificate saying that you can't play golf without the use of a buggie.
Couldn't the golf clubs just take their members word for it?

Medical exemption only at ours also.

However I personally wouldn't give two hoots if someone wanted / needed to use one to play comps. They still have to hit the shots at the end of the day.

No issues with it; neither does my club. Don't see why you'd moan about it. Not sure how it gives any difference from people who walk and carry or those with trollies, personal preference.

 I'd let the ones with their shirts not tucked in & change their shoes in the car park have first dabs on the buggies.

only as long as they announce what make of buggy it is on tee, i'd hate to get back in to the wrong one.

If you want to ban them, fine, but this nonsense of a doctors cert ... thats just a awaste of everyones time.

And the certificate won't come free
