Upmarket Dunlop range

The fact of the matter is, the "cheap" dunlop stuff in Sports Direct is awful stuff - you can tell, just by looking at it.

I have 2 pairs of trousers and a shirt bought from the cheap range, and whilst they're not the best items of golf clothing I own they're far from being the worst.

I wonder if I am an object of derision on the course for wearing such trash :D

Lets be honest here guys. All manufacturers need to pay out big money in order to get their gear on to the back of a tour pro before it becomes accepted golf gear. I remember when Adidas was footie gear full stop. It wouldn't be worn on the golf course, Nike the same. Now because of big money payouts to pro's they are go to shirts and shoes. Under Armour,Galvin Green are no different they too have paid out big money to become accepted. Dunlop have been in golf forever but have fallen out of favour recently so they are having to pay out big money to get back into acceptence.
I dont bother I'll stick to George at Asda for my gear I'm only walking around a field.

Only in the eyes of the brand snobbery bell ends

Does that also apply to brand snob bell ends who bought last seasons or the seasons before sell offs at a cheap price?

Just so that I know!!

Think you were missing my point, which was that no one should be derided for what they wear.

The issue of Dunlop clothing has been raised before. I have a mix of gear brands, including two White polos, one Nike, one Dunlop. There is absolutely no difference between them other than logo and price. It's a fair assumption that they were both made in the same, or similar, SE Asian sweat shop.

My favourite golfing trousers are a pair of black Dunlop Chino's I bought about two years ago for £7.99.
They fit superbly, have kept their colour and not faded, and wash up a treat. Plus, they iron up well.
I also bought a pair of Dunlop pinstriped golf trousers in the Sports Direct sale about two months ago. Again, they wash up well, and fit perfectly. The number of pairs of trousers I have bought that are supposed to be 31" leg but need taking up is a joke. The Dunlop sizing is spot on.
I would not hesitate in buying Dunlop gear again, but whether I would spend £40.00 on one of their shirts is another matter.
I don't think I'd spend £40.00 on any make of shirt to be honest.

:D

The trousers are fine, I was talking about the shirts. The ones at my local Sports Direct that are £7.99 have the dunlop logo screen printed on, which isn't a problem, unless the logos are peeling off....on every single shirt. The buttons were hanging off on a couple of the shirts too...Might have just been a bad batch. It's only £8 but I want my clothes to be intact!

The trousers are ace though. Especially for £10 quid.

I'd love to be able to spend £50 on a pair of Stromberg troos, but for something that I'll wear once or twice a week for 4 hours, I'll stick with the cheapo ones. Tesco make some good ones suitable for golf.

Trouble is, it's too small for me

If anybody wants it for £20.00 save me sending it back, it's a bargain.

Too many pork pies since you ordered it smiffy? :D

No.
Bloody Callaway sizing.
It stated on their website that "Medium" would fit between a 41"-43" chest, so that's the one I went for.
It's more for a 38"-40" chest.
And I guarantee that if I sell it and order "large" I'll look like a sack of shite in it.
