Many a times I have been on an uphill lie and have a very decent recovery from there.. My technique involves
1) Ball towards the higher foot (left in case of right hander)
2) Shoulders parallel to the slope
3) Take a less lofted club as the slope will add to the loft
4) Take a regular swing (long from fairway, short from greenside lie)
However have also noticed a lot of pros playing greenside uphills with a ‘jab’ rather than swing. They usually do this from greenside uphills and normally have an upright rather than have shoulders parallel to the ground. When do you use this rather than a swing and how do you control the uphill ‘jab’. I am assuming that it wont have much spin.
