Finally summer is here (well its stopped lashing down so it must be summer!)
and I am off to play Fidra - heard great things - fingers crossed that the sun comes out and the wind stays away...

Hope you enjoy Heidi, played it last summer and it's a bit weird. Front 9 feels more parkland than links and you get your mind in to parkland mode and then at the turn it suddenly opens up and feels more links, which totally plays with your noodle...
But it's a nice place and the service is really good so hope you have a great day.

I played Fidra June 2010, was Beautiful, great experience
As GF states, it is a bit of a story of 2 nines, but all good stuff

Played this course 2 years ago and it had just been tyned and dressed. We only knew after we had played the 18th and were then told. The greens still ran true and were magnificent. Preferred the links nine as being from the Midlands, rarely get to play links golf.

I was right behind them with a perfectly acceptable 33 points - definately preferred the back 9 links golf rather than the tight treelined parkland front 9

i have my ticket for tonight - bought a lucky dip and it has the numbers 1 2 3 4 5 on it - surely it cant be a winner?!
