Medal this morning and shot an 87 off 20.7 so should be another cut of 1.6 to bring me down t0 19.1. That is the first target for the season achieved now to get under 18.

Still not happy with the round though as I had my best outward 9 going round in 40 but I suspect that when I saw the score at the halfway mark I put a bit of pressure on myself and ended up scrambling the 47 on the back 9.

Stapleford comp tommorrow and bogey on Monday so wonder if I can get under 18 by the end of the bank holiday?

If you play like you did today yes, hard to hit 2 great rounds in a row though but here's hoping you do. It's always my back 9 that lets me down if i have a good front. dont think if you hit a 6 when today you hit a 4 will ruin it, my advice although flawed it may help. ;)

Well done GB, ;)
One thing i never do is look at my card through the round...I wait until im off the 18th to check that way im not putting any undue pressure on myself......
Frees you up to play more comfortably.....
A great tip i was given was to play bogey golf to take all the pressure off yourself.....Play par 3's for 4 par 4's for 5 and 5's for 6's....You'll be amazed how at ease you'll feel playing.....Give it a go sometime....

keep playing like that you'll be under 18 in no time. You should get used to feeling like you left some shots out there. I shot 6 over this morning and felt like it was 4 too many, but that's why I play off 11 and not 5 :)

Good luck for the rest of the weekend but don't be too down on yourself if it doesn't go to plan, golf has a habit of biting you in the arse when things are going well

Well done GB
You're on that slippery slope towards the dreaded single figures!!
The 80 I shot on friday could and should have been 4 or 5 shots better so I know how you feel.

Great golfing GB - take care to not over expect though - even the pros come back from a round of 6 under par saying this didn't go well and that putt didn't drop.

Try measuring your game by the good bits (like your dropping gross score) rather than the bad bits (the lipped puts and OOBs etc.)
