Hi All

Just found this useful little site which, if use properly, could benefit us all.

http://www.uk-golfguide.com/

some useful reviews from real golfers, which if we add our ten cents about the courses we have played, could make a real difference.

If we do this then it'll help others on the forum identify possible locations to play, even show others from your area as reviewers will form the bulk of regional reviews.

I have posted questions on this forum about where to play, but will use this as a starting point from now and and will report about anywhere I play to benefit others.

My course LONGHIRST GOLF CLUB: No8 in Northumberland, No16 in North East and a respectable 308 in uk

I've always used this site particularly if I'm playing somewhere new. The reviews are usually pretty accurate. My course gets good reviews on there also...even compares it with The Belfry...not sure I'd go that far but nice to see all the same.

Not sure how they work their rankings. We get four and five star ratings, but overall get a 3 star rating We also rank below a 9 hole par 3 course at Farnham Park. :D

Some good reviews but ignore rankings.

used it myself a few times, even posted a few reviews.
find that there were quite a few with no reviews, unless they have been updated since i last look.

+1

Some good reviews but the rankings are so far out for my area it is unreal.

I just looked at the rankings for oxfordshire and I think this website may be a hoax!! SHOCKING rankings, after seeing that I will never look at that site again!

there is a serious lack of basic geography apparent too, Dyrham Park, Bushey Hall and The Shire have all moved from Barnet (North London) are now in the West Midlands it seems.

One of the clubs I looked at is in the middle of the country yet some of the pics portray it as a links course..what a load of toss. Thats like using the Sunday Sport as gospel for news.

al of the comments are fair, but I think this is somthing we can help with. If there are errors, let them know.

there have been comments on latest posts being years old.

I'm going to sit down later and review some courses I've played and think that if the enthusiasts on the forum do the same then we can make it more accurate. Remeber that the most recent posts show on the top of the pile

Forest Pines better than Ganton?

Never in a million years. Bizarre rankings.

Sundridge Park the best course in England?

It's not even the best course in Bromley!

Not sure that Stoke Rochford qualifies as the 108th best club in England and better than Woodhall Spa

No, but a nice club nonetheless. Would love another round there one day.

You are welcome any time, just PM me next time you are in the area and I can sign you in no problem.
