I'm not really a fan of UFC,I occasionally watch it but won't pay if it.
I do hope Alvarez wins,McGregor is a knob.

It's on Bt Sport so if you have access to that you can watch it.

Whatever you think you have to admire the work ethic and belief he has in own ability.

Yeah he might come across as brash but then all Dubs are like that :whoo:

Just out of curiosity why do you might think that about McGregor?

Can't wait. The King is going to make history. I love him. He's brash, outspoken, speaks his mind, but underneath all the bravado is a calculated, respectful and unbelievably talented martial artist. The mink coat and polar neck was a tribute to Joe Frazier, the thrift shop jumper was a tribute to Biggie Smalls, everything Conor does, that on the outside looks ridiculous, has serious thought and calculation behind it.

He's a master of pre-fight psychology. Aldo was beat before he got in the octagon, so was Poirier, as have many others. I don't get that feeling from Alvarez, but I do see Conor winning. Eddie looked good against RDA, but before that he looked very average in his past UFC fights. His wrestling is good, he's gritty and he has cardio, but his boxing is sloppy, he always gets hit, and if you let Conor hit you, you're going down, unless you've got a Diaz chin that left hand is putting you down.

It's going to be a superb fight. The Conor McGregor show is going to be taken to new levels when he wins the 2nd belt. Then we have the "Massive Announcement" post-fight from Conor, which, who the hell knows what that's going to be. Either way, Conor has transformed the sport, become the first truly mainstream UFC fighter and has people all over the globe talking about the sport. Like him or loathe him, people tune in to watch him. Personally, I love him, have been a fan since before his UFC debut and will be a fan till the end.

War The Notorious.

Couldn't agree more. A very smart and extremely talented guy.

I just think he comes across as a knob.
It's probably for show tho.

McGregor is probably the best 'boxer' in the UFC however he wouldn't even be top 20 in any weight class if he switched to boxing.

I'm not a fan of him but I get why he does what he does. I bet just as many people tune in wanting him to get flattened as wanting him to win. Either way they're tuning in.

Totally agree.

And? What's your point? Floyd Mayweather is a top boxer, but wouldn't be Top 50 in any weightclass in MMA. Conor would be more likely to have success in Boxing than any pro boxer would in MMA.

I'd also argue the point about him being the best boxer in the UFC. Conor's not really a boxer, he's a taekwondo-kickboxer that just happens to have a superb left hand. He has good hands, really good and started off in boxing, but his strength is in his dynamic range of strikes, not just boxing. On pure boxing - Albert Tumanov, Nick Diaz, Anderson Silva, Georges St.Pierre and Joanna Jedrzejczyk are all better.

Tate - Decision, should be a war
Romero - Decision - good fight, reckon Romero will be too good a wrestler and too strong
Jedrzejczyk - Finish in the 3rd or 4th. Joanna is a beast, she's going to have too much for Karolina.
Thompson - KO. Best striker in the UFC, going to have too much for Woodley
McGregor - KO. Too fast, too powerful, too technical. Eddie's going to have to hold him down and hope Conor gasses. Not going to happen though, McGregor has already beaten a juiced up stud wrestler in Mendes, he's going to take out Eddie and take him out quickly. I reckon Conor by KO in the 2nd.

not convinced about Romero, agree with the others, think Nurmagomedov wins too

Looks so much more healthy at 155. He kills himself to get down to 145 and he's never been at 170lb'er and never will be. Said it himself, he doesn't have abs at 170. 155 is a good weight for him I think.

Called it to a tee. Didn't expect Conor to outclass Eddie like that though. What a performance!

He had him on deck 3 times in the first round also.

I love how he predicted he'd become a two weight champion back when he was beginning his MMA career...he has now done that twice. In his original code which he won both the CWFC Featherweight and Lightweight championships, making him the first European professional mixed martial artist to hold titles in two divisions simultaneously.

And now also in the UFC.
